The Green Cave Montessori Pre-school<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Welcome to the Green Cave\u2019s new Montessori pre-school, the ONLY Montessori provision in Tunbridge Wells.<\/p>\n

We are delighted to announce the opening of a beautiful pre-school extension to the Green Cave nursery, providing a full Montessori curriculum for our children aged 3 \u2013 4 years.\u00a0 Our new site is situated in the Great Hall arcade, just a stone\u2019s throw from Tunbridge Wells station, on Mount Pleasant.\u00a0 There is convenient access for dropping off and collecting children and the nearby Calverley Grounds provide a rich source of learning for outdoor activities.<\/p>\n

The facilities within the pre-school include a fully equipped Montessori classroom, an art room \/ cookery room, and coming soon, a wet room for water play, a Yoga studio with salt therapy room and a large space for physical activities.\u00a0 There is also a small, safe outside area for planting and growing.<\/p>\n

In order to deliver the Montessori curriculum to the highest standard, we currently have four experienced Montessori teachers, Tracy, Jane, Emily and Sophia, who also runs our forest school sessions.<\/p>\n

The Montessori Method<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Montessori is a world-renowned and respected, scientifically based education approach which realises the immense potential for learning in children from their earliest years.<\/p>\n

As well as bespoke apparatus and materials, the Montessori approach is based on an ethos of free choice (within limits), order and logic, individual interests, hands-on active learning and high expectations from adults.<\/p>\n

The Montessori classroom is a calm and ordered space, where children are given the time and opportunity to learn at their own pace and according to their interests. Our teachers are sensitive to children\u2019s individual needs, but they provide clear limits, and children are set free within these boundaries.<\/p>\n

At the Green Cave Montessori Pre-school, we aim to fulfil these learning principles whilst upholding our Green Cave core values of \u2018Love, Care and Nurture\u2019 which have formed the basis of our practice for the past 12 years.\"\"<\/p>\n
